Oakwell Hall skirmish

Last weekend at the spectacular Oakwell Hall near Batley, the 47th attended the biggest UK gathering of American War of Independence groups. We worked alongside the 22nd and 68th Regiments plus our Loyal American. Opposing us were the Rebel forces of the 1st Maryland, 6th Virginia and Virginia Riflemen.

Despite the lateness of the season and the treat of transatlantic hurricanes, a great time was had by all. Oakwell Hall want a return visit in the summer of 2020 which we're all looking forward too.
