Redcoats illuminating Christmas

We attended the 'Astley Hall Illuminated' event and made our presence with a bang.

From the people who came to see us (The Hall reports 5,000) were very encouraging, we were lit up like a stage show, our red uniforms and our campfollower's red cloak certainly attracted attention. The odd thing is, with such bright lights directly in our eyes, it was like there was no one out there. Strange voices asked questions and suddenly little children were pushed out of the blackness, for a photoshoot Our musket fire illuminated the darkness away at the Astley Hall Illuminated event, it was the first time we fired in the dark at an event and it created quite the spectacle.
